Packers

This was teh first year that both children were over 2 years old so the baby bassinet was out!  The neatest lil backpacks for kids who now have their own seats.  They are old enough and strong enough to carry their carry-ons, I do believe.  It worked well to stuff them with a change of clothes and lots of books, toys, modeling clay, crayons, etc for the 22 hour flight.

In case you ever wonder how much luggage we bring for 2 months, it's two backpacks, a tiny pack for each child, and two large rolling luggage bags.  The red suitcase was full of donations for the birth center, an orphanage and the animal rescue shelter.  Wonder what we will fill it up with now?  The two large bags were too heavy so i had a cloth shoulder bag in the red backpack that ended up becoming my carry on and the extra weight got transferred to the red backpack as checked luggage.  We weighed them at home but got last minute donations shoved in.  I highly recommend carrying a small bag along if you are unsure about the weight limit being accurate; so you can avoid the fees.

For clothing and space, we wear our jackets onto the plane and use them for warmth if needed on it. We also wear lightweight pants and wool socks (used later in Korea) for the ride but don't need them once we arrive usually and our heavier water shoes (without socks in Bali and with the woolies in Korea).
