The Outer Banks! (Part! 1)

on the way out of the driveway for a long obx trip! We usually go in August for our anniversary but last year we started the annual Memorial Day Weekend trip b/c we were going to be out of town in August. So, we camped out at Buxton then. This year, Buxton was flooded and closed! So, we started camping on Ocracoke Island.

sharing blueberries on the drive down to elizabeth city for some yummy sweet potato sushi rolls and inari.
weaving at endless possibilities with my girl.
ash set up a weaving lesson for us where we got to pick out farbrics and weave our hearts out.
now, we are longing to have another chance to weave somewhere local.

our rugs were not as long as we would have liked them to be b/c of the time it takes to make them. our whole families waited patiently for us to finish.
ez helping ash with her beautiful rug!
wow, how heavy was your loom, ash?
ez and her dad went to a nearby park while i weaved along.
check the van in the background!

downtown manteo
lunch at the full moon cafe was full...very full.
from when andy spilled a whole glass of ice water on ezra's lap to the boys wrestling on the ground.
