i woke up this morning as a mom to a three year old. it's just not really registering, still. wow. yesterday's party at the park was really fun. we were glad to share cake and ice cream with our friends. thank you each for coming and for the kindness you show e. thank you for loving her and guiding her. thank you for being my mama friends and giving e a friend in your babes. from the youngest at barely 3 weeks to the oldest, she loves each of them in a special way. our nights are usually spent talking about what she enjoyed with one friend or another and when we can see them, again. some mornings she even wakes up with her first words, "when do we get to eat cookies with a friend?" and often when she doesn't get enough mama attention by the afternoon, she tells me, "i need a friend to come over and play with me." in a sad sort of voice. her life is as rich as the dark chocolate in the coppperhead cake.
